Obituary for Ernest Joseph Villejoin Sr.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Ernest J. Villejoin, Sr., 74, who passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 12:36 P.M. at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Pastor Mike Trahan, from Victory Baptist Church in Estherwood will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Estherwood Cemetery in Estherwood.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 4:30 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Gail B. Villejoin of Estherwood; two sons, Ernest Villejoin, Jr. and fiancé, Tammy Phelps of Beaumont, TX, Shane and wife, Shella Villejoin of Morse; two brothers, Vernice and wife, Beatrice of Crowley, Lee and wife, Nancy Villejoin of Winnie, TX; one sister, Linda and husband, Calvin Nugent of Morse; five grandchildren, Jeffery Villejoin, Bethany Manning, Kristi Trahan, Gregory Villejoin, and Heather Istre, and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service will be Jeffrey Villejoin, Gregory Villejoin, Houise Babineaux, Sr., Wyatt Villejoin, Houise Babineaux, Jr., and Jared Villejoin. Honorary Pallbearer will be Kaleb Schendel.
Mr. Villejoin was preceded in death by one daughter, Danielle Renee Villejoin; one great-grandson, Joshua Owen Watley; his parents, Edward and Lucille R. Villejoin.
