Obituary for Shirley Landry Cormier
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley for Shirley Landry Cormier, 84, who died at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday at her home in Crowley.
Bro. Len Whitaker, Pastor of The Pentecostals of Crowley, will officiate the services and the burial will follow in the Abshire Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and continue Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Cormier was born August 9, 1938 in Ebenezer to Valery and Azlee Sarver Landry. She was a longtime member of The Pentecostals of Crowley and dearly loved her church family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Monica Romero and her husband, Donald of Crowley and Regina Cormier-Zack and her wife, Christine of Jennings; 1 son, Michael Cormier of Crowley; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Fierros, Sabrina Schexnider, and David Landry, II and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Nelson Cormier; 1 son, Daniel Cormier; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
