Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley for Howard Raymond Gaspard, 77, who died at 12:07 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Lafayette General Hospital.
Rev. Johnny Ray Fontenot, Pastor of Northside assembly of God, will celebrate the funeral services and the burial will follow in the Pecan Island Community Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Gaspard was born October 1, 1945 in Gueydan, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his significant other, Elaine Breaux of Kaplan; 2 daughters, Crystal Gale, and Regina Gaspard; 4 sons, Brian, Robert, Gregory, and Blake Gaspard; a sister, Laura Mae Breaux; 2 brothers, Rev. Albert Lee Gaspard and John Gaspard; 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Azile and Eve Richard Gaspard; his wife, Marjorie Saltzman Gaspard; 3 sisters, Mary Lou Simon, Lydia G. Monceaux and Virgie G. Plaisance.
