Funeral services will be held Friday July 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Byron J. Olivier, 70, who died Tuesday July 6, 2010 at the Crowley American Legion Hospital. Fr. Mathew Higginbotham will officiate. Survivors include his wife Elaine Vincent Olivier of Crowley; three sons Byron Keith Olivier, Brandon D. Olivier, and Tyler J. Olivier all of Crowley; three sisters Letha Briley, and Beverly Quibodeaux both of Church Point, and Judy Decou of Youngsville; one brother Huey Olivier of Church Point; eight grand children and one great grandchild. Mr. Byron was preceded in death by one daughter Melissa K. LaGrange; one grandson Bryson K. Olivier; his parents Lawrence and Evelyn Higginbotham Olivier; one brother Julian Guillory; two sisters Shirley Motte, and Cynthia Olivier. Visitation will be held Thursday July 8, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until services. Burial will be held in the Hanks cemetery in Morse under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley.
