Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley, LA for Don Grimmer, 80, who died at 4:33 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020 in Lafayette, LA.
Rev. Kerry Doucet of Crossway Fellowship will conduct the services and the burial will follow in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Visitation may be observed Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Don was born December 3, 1940 in Crowley, LA to the late Richard Grimmer and Ruby Spell. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He worked most of his life in the oil field.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Haas G. Cormier of Crowley, LA, Dwan G. Cagnina and her husband Joey of Bryant, AR and Teffany Grimmer of Lafayette, LA; 2 sons, Chatham Grimmer of Houston, TX and Thadius Grimmer of Crowley, LA; 10 grandchildren, Kara Hebert, Eric Suire, Hana Leger, Kaylan Walters, Kristan Ordogne, Britt Cagnina, Stacey Cagnina, Ariel Clapp, Abby Argetsinger and Madison Grimmer; 16 great grandchildren, Mason and Kyra Neyra, Kaleb Suire, Everett, Scarlett and Emmett Suire, Tye Leger, Vincent Chow, Ellie Walters, William, Luke, Adrian and Audrey Ordogne, Valen, Kato and Benjamin Clapp.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Kody Trey John.
