Rayne—Funeral services for Gene Joseph Nolan, Sr., 59, of Crowley will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne. Reverend Jerrard Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow in Abshire Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne, and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mr. Nolan passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 8:05 A.M. in his Crowley residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Crowley, Mr. Nolan was a member of Northside Assembly of God Church. He was a painter and sheetrock finisher by trade.
Mr. Nolan served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his fiancé, Madeline Prejean of Crowley; father, Eugene J. Nolan, Jr. of Crowley; daughter, Tracie Gonzalez of Beaumont, TX; son, Gene Joseph Nolan, Jr. of Vidor, TX; sister, Carol Nolan of Crowley; brother, Robert Nolan; and grandchildren, John T. “T.J.” Henry of Beaumont, Ashely Henry of Beaumont, Jesus Solis of Beaumont, Josephina Solis of Beaumont, Lucy Samantha Jackson of Alaska; and Isaiah Blazie Nolan of Beaumont.

Preceding Mr. Nolan in death were his mother, Bertha Breaux Nolan; and brothers, Albert Nolan and Donald Nolan.
