Crowley- A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated for Rose G. Richard, 90, at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 17, 2017 in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel-Crowley with Rev. Gary Schexnayder as Celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Friday morning and will continue until just prior to service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Abshire Cemetery in Kaplan, LA. Mrs. Richard passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her residence in Crowley, LA.
She is survived by her children, Michael Dale Richard of Crowley, LA, Veronica Gayle Richard of Crowley, LA, Mary D. Richard of Lafayette, LA, Marie E. Richard of Crowley, LA and Samuel Richard of Crowley, LA and seven grandchildren, Robert Gene Perry of Rayne, LA, Patricia Ann Perry of Crowley, LA, David Wayne Perry of Scott, LA, Cynthia Perry of Church Point, LA, Ronald Joseph Perry of Rayne, LA, Rocky Leger of Crowley, LA and Tammy Lynn Perry of Church Point, LA; as well as nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her husband, John Alcide Richard; one daughter, Pamela Ann Richard; and her parents, John Eugene Guidry and Maria Blanchard Guidry.
