Winnie Guidry (Cormier)
Rayne- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Winnie C. Guidry, 90, at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, LA with Rev. Mike Arnaud as Celebrant. Visitation will be held in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 1:00PM and will resume on Friday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the church service and will be in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in Mire, LA. Mrs. Guidry passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
Mrs. Guidry is survived by her son, Rickey Guidry and his wife, Mary of Mire, LA; daughter, Doris Leger of Lafayette, LA; three grandchildren, Lindsay Guidry and her fiance’, Lance Olivier of Mire, LA, Jonathon Guidry and his wife, Alicia of Mire, LA, Pam Cheramie and her husband, Jared of Lafayette, LA; great grandchildren, Landon, Konner, Izzy, Zane, Zayden, Jagger, Elle Rae, Jacob, Karessa, Ariele, Emily, Patrick, J D and Abigail; sister, Geneieve Bergeron of Rayne, LA.
She preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Cormier and Doris Lavergne Cormier; husband, Andrew Guidry, Jr., grandson, Dwayne Leger; brother, Joseph Cormier, Jr.; sister, Addie Leger.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Guidry, Lance Olivier, Landon Guidry, Lindsay Guidry, Alicia Guidry and Jared Cheramie. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the Grandchildren.
