Obituary for
Linda Daigle (Benoit)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Linda Benoit Daigle, 63, who passed away at her home in Church Point, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 12:45 P.M.
Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, March 31, at 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Saturday all in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include, seven sons, Donnie and wife, Bridget Daigle of Church Point, Damon and wife Nicole Daigle of Church Point, Dexter and wife, Amy Daigle of Church Point, Donovon Daigle of Church Point, Derrick Daigle of Church Point, Dirk Daigle of Church Point and Dillon And wife, Amber Daigle of Church Point; four daughters, Donna and husband, Toby Wetzel of Arnaudville, Dawn Daigle and her companion, Lance Broussard of Rayne, Delana and husband, C.J. Ashbaugh, of Church Point, Desiree and husband, Derek Latiolais of Church Point; twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Ruby Carol of Lawtell, Wilma Bihm of Eunice, Jeanette Prejean of Eunice, Jeanelle Johnson of Eunice, Judy Benoit of Lafayette, JoAnn Johnson of Duralde and Brenda Benoit of Mamou; three brothers, Joseph Benoit, Jr. of Eunice, Gerald Benoit of Eunice and Darrell Benoit of Eunice.
Her caregivers were Lamm Hospice, Delana Ashbaugh, Brenda Benoit and Nicole Daigle.
Pallbearers for the service will be D.J. Daigle, Tyler Daigle, Dexter Daigle, Donovon Daigle, Derrick Daigle, Dillon Daigle and Dirk Daigle. Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be Donnie Daigle, Damon Daigle, Toby Wetzel, C.J. Ashbaugh, Derek Latiolais, Carl Daigle and Lance Broussard.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Aarol K. Daigle; one daughter, Dedria Daigle; one great-grandson, Kadyn Daigle; her parents, Joseph Charles and Gladys C. Benoit; one sister, Wilda Bihm.
