Anna Bell Cormier Meche known to many as “Taunt Sweet” went home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 1, 2017 at the age of 71. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Odelia Cormier. She was born, raised, and lived most of her life in the Mire community.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Levorel Joseph Meche; one son, Mitchell Meche & wife Tammy; two daughters, Tessa Meche and Tiffany Monique Day & husband Jimi. Seven grandchildren; Joshua Meche, Jade Lavergne, Ashley Morgan, Colby Ewing, Sharell Meche, Kayla Day, and Masie Cormier; two step-grandchildren, Erika Schmit and Joshua LeBlanc. Sixteen great-grandchildren; Brey Lynn, Jayce, Allie, Morgan, Jacob, Jordan, Kullen, Haizlee, Makayla, Mallary, Kelsey, Kolbi, James, Sean, Jolie'ana, and Brantley.
Also leaving behind two sisters, Earlene Primeaux & husband Ricky; Bernella Cormier & husband Phillip; one brother, Irby Cormier & wife Rose; Godchildren Latrell Primeaux & Shirleen Ross; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Anna had a great love for working in her yard producing the most beautiful flowers and plants; along with decorating her yard for Christmas time. She also loved helping others and fishing, but the greatest love of all was her family.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Cormier of Mire; one son, Timothy Meche; two grandsons Jeremy Lee Meche and Shallon Meche; two brothers, Ferroil & Earl Cormier & one sister Velma Beniot.
She was a parishioner of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, where her funeral services will be held on April 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Msgr. Richard Greene will be the Celebrant.
Her family requested that visiting hours be observed on April 3, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Tuesday, April 4,2017 at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service.
Pallbearers include,Colby Ewing, Joshua Meche, Jade Lavergne, Ashley Morgan, Kayla Day, & Latrell Primeaux.
Honorary Pallbearers include, Jayce Meche, Jordan Angelle, & Jacob Wilson Giftbearers will be Masie Cormier & Jordan Angelle.
