Claby Joseph Laviolet
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Claby J. Laviolet, 98, who passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital at 10:28 A.M.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Maryland Chapel CME Methodist Cemetery in Branch.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne.
Survivors include, nine grandchildren, Shana and husband, Steven Richard of Mire, Shelley and husband, Mitchell Batten of Rayne, Stacie and husband, Andrew Landry of Lafayette, Shae Istre of Rayne, Evric and wife, Nicole Stutes of Lafayette, Alisha Stutes of Lafayette, Mariah Aucoin of Lafayette, Mikaela Aucoin of Mississippi and Blaze Aucoin of Lafayette; his Godchild, Jeanora and husband, Norris of Lake Charles; one step daughter, Marie Aucoin of Mississippi; one son-in-law, Adam Istre of Rayne; one daughter-in-law, Betty Laviolet of Lacassine.
Mr. Laviolet was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Laviolet; one daughter, Peggy Istre; one son, Jay Laviolet; one sister, Mabel Spell; one brother, Joe Laviolet; half brother, Allen Laviolet and one half sister, Hilda Savoie.
