Obituary for
John Boudreaux
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John Berchman Catholic Church in Cankton for John Boudreaux, 87, who passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 2:21 P.M. at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Msgr. Russell Harrington, Pastor of St. John Berchman Catholic Church in Cankton will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. John Berchman Catholic Church Cemetery in Cankton.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, September 26, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, La. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Richard Boudreaux of Rayne; three sons, Patrick Boudreaux of Bosco; Allen and wife, Leeana Boudreaux of Scott, Clarence Boudreaux of Rusk, TX.; three daughters, Lynda Hunkapillar of Cypress, TX., JoAnn Lavergne of Lawtell, Eva and husband, Antonio Ramirez of Cypress, TX.; two daughter-in-laws, Sandy Boudreaux of Church Point and Deborah Boudreaux of Houston, TX.; one sister, Verbie Davis of Pensacola, FL.; fifteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Boudreaux is preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Melina Smith Boudreaux; one son, Rickey Boudreaux; his parents, Dave and Eva Doucet Boudreaux; one brother, Dallas Boudreaux and one daughter-in-law, Janet Boudreaux.
Pallbearers for the service will be Troy Boudreaux, Toby Boudreaux, Dusty Boudreaux, Michael Boudreaux, Austin Meche and Brice Meche. Honorary pallbearer for the service will be Patrick Boudreaux, Jr.
