Obituary for
Emma Cecil Simon (Morton)
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at Levy Park on Third St. in Crowley for Emma Cecil Morton Simon, 76, who passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 7:10 P.M. at The Carpenter House in Lafayette.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph “Tommy” and wife, Patsy Bourque of Crowley, Roland James and his wife, Ashley Simon of Eunice; three daughters, Katherine Bourque Galiana and her fiancé Arthur Adderton of Coral, FL, Wanda Gail and her husband, Brian Cashi of Crowley, Carrie Lynn Simon and her fiance’, Jim Ketlee of New Orleans; two step children, Jacquelene Simon and her fiance’, Winton Buraman, Jr. of Pineville, Mark Simon and his fiancé, Terrie White of Crowley; one brother, James White of Fayelteville, N.C.; one sister, Ray Ann and her husband, Jack Gebbis of Thomasville, GA; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; thirteen step great-grandchildren and two step great -great-grandchildren.
Ms. Simon was preceded n death by her husband, Roland “Pee Wee” Simon; one son, Adam Paul Simon; two grandsons, Donovan Richard and Brandon Bourque; one step daughter, Sue Hollie; her parents, Edward Morton and Cecil Gay of Thomasville, GA.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to, Ivy Walker for taking care of our mom for the last ten years. Also, they would like to thank Roland and Ashley Simon, St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria and the Carpenter House/ St. Joseph Hospice Hospital in Lafayette.
