Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley, La. for Ms. Shirley D. Istre, 74 who passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at her home in Morse, La. Officiating for the services will be Father Gary Schexnayder.
Survivors include her three daughters: Karen Ann Zaina of Crowley, La., Ravenna Wilson of Lake Charles, La. and Janice Istre of Morse, La.. Three sons: Paul Blake Istre of Crowley, La., Brian David Istre and Jerome James Istre both of Greencove Springs, Florida. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Ms. Istre was the owner/operator of "Shirley's" Restaurant.
Ms. Istre is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Joseph Istre, her parents, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 6th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Crowley, La
