Obituary for Thomas Joseph "Tom" Abbott

Church Point- Thomas Joseph Abbott, 75, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loved ones in the early morning hours of May 16, 2018.
“Tom” is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Abbott of Mire, LA; sons, Thomas R. Abbott and wife, Andrea of Richmond, VA, John Lee Abbott and wife, Amy of St. Martinville, LA; daughters, Danette Marie and husband, Jeff Gary of Lafayette, LA, Jodie Marie and husband,“Peanut” Brown of Covington, LA. His grandchildren, whom he dearly loved, Caroline Abbott and William Abbott of Richmond, VA, Kyleigh Gary and Connor Gary of Lafayette, LA, Karli Silva and Madison Brown of Covington, LA.“Tom” was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Shyde Abbott and Mildred Fleming Abbott; his brother, Shyde Abbott and his sisters, Mary Alice “Nunie” Migues and Jo Ann Baudoin.
A private family service was held by Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne, LA.
